Requirements

To become a member of Golden Pillar Sacco, you must:

  1. Be at least 18 years of age
  2. Fill and submit a duly completed membership application form
  3. Pay a non-refundable registration fee of Ksh. 500
  4. Provide the following documents:
  • Copy of National ID or Passport
  • Two recent passport-size photographs
  • Duly completed next of kin form
  • Proof of income (payslip, business permit, etc.)
MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
  1. ORDINARY MEMBERSHIP

   Open to individuals who meet the membership requirements and are in active employment or self-employment.

  1. JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP

   For individuals below 18 years, operated by a parent or legal guardian.

  1. CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP

   Available to registered organizations, companies, or groups.

RIGHTS OF MEMBERS

As a member, you have the right to:

  • Attend and vote at Annual General Meetings
  • Access all Sacco products and services
  • Elect and be elected to the Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee
  • Receive dividends on your shares
  • Access your account information
  • Lodge complaints and receive feedback
OBLIGATIONS OF MEMBERS
  • Comply with the Sacco’s By-laws and regulations
  • Pay shares and deposits as required
  • Repay loans as per the agreed schedule
  • Attend Annual General Meetings
  • Maintain confidentiality of Sacco information
  • Promote the interests of the Sacco

  • Maintain active savings contributions

  • Honor your loan obligations
  • Pay on time to avoid penalties

  • Attend AGM and participate in decisions

  • Hold leaders accountable
  1. INFORMATION UPDATE
  • Update your contact details promptly
  • Notify changes in employment status
  • Update next of kin information
